Desire Poem

When your world begins to shift, And there's no where left to turn, The lessons we evade, Are the things we need to learn, Searching for simplicity, Yet all we find is pain, Perhaps there is a greater reason, The for why we live in vain, From the depths of your soul, To your greatest desire, Admiring the things that set your soul on fire, Walking along through flames and disaster, In hopes to find what you always chase after, With every burn and feeling of sorrow, Forever living for a better tomorrow, Running and running with no where to hide, And every ounce pain that begins to subside, In each victory comes inevitable strength, Reaching for goals of incredible length, Stretching your mind to beliefs of the unknown, Embracing the lessons of things you’ve been shown, The path way divides and actions are taken, Creating a life that won't be mistaken, For less than fulfilled, And full of desire, I became the one, That people will admire.

You are your greatest Super Power

There was a time when I use to think my greatest dreams were just that, dreams. I’d put my headphones on at night, close my eyes and dream a different dream to a different song every night, and sometimes, if I really liked the dream I’d listen to the same song again and relive it over and over as if it were a reality. But why couldn’t they be? I’ve spent so much of my time and energy surrounded my limiting beliefs that I was some how unworthy of creating a life beyond my wildest dreams. After all life is greater than just yourself. I had all the right tools but no directions on how to assemble my thoughts. As time went on, I’d do the same thing, put my headphones on and travel to another place in another time. Every dream was always in years to come never based on something I had already lived. When I’d wake up, I’d always think “wow I can’t wait for this day to actually happen.” Little did I know that it was within my own power to make all those kick-ass dreams my realities. I...

Staying positive all the time does NOT mean you are happy all the time.

It's interesting how based on experience our mindsets are able to shift. Whether the experience we have is good or bad- we are affected, we are impacted, we learn and we adapt new ways. Intertwining the power of manifestation through thought, what occurs in our life times is simply divided into two indefinite pathways. What I find most interesting about this post is not too long ago I use to see the world as more than black and white, this or that. I felt as though there was always more to it than what meets the eye. Although, to an extent that is more or less true, I have begun to see that the way I viewed life, discouraging moments, relationships, self-worth  and all of the above is purely a 'this or that' situation. You either do something or you don't. The course of inaction- is in itself an action. When faced with a decision, we often like to take a step back, weigh out the pro's and the con's, decide if it's beneficial to our lives. This isn't a ...

Temptation, Sacrific and The Short Term Part 1

Temptation, Sacrifice, and Short term Part 1 Three words all containing the power to change the course of our lives. Within a word, lies a thousand different questions based on a multitude of perspectives given by each individual. In this case, my interpretation of these words in not merely to prove my view is the right one but to question each objective. These three words play an integral part in how we sustain our humanity. The things we tell ourselves to make it through the day based on justification. What’s the why? In various scenarios in our lives we will be faced with temptation, the short term and at one point or another we will always sacrifice in order to potentially gain- although that may not always be the case. I heard a great metaphor used in terms of how to view yourself and growth. Think of yourself a tiny seed. If you know anything about nature and plants then you will know that each seed grows into something different, therefore, what are you going to gro...

Intellect Vs Emotion Poem

Beyond the valley of battered dreams, And the pulse inside, ripping at its seams, Stitched together by thread so thin, Upon the wounds of agony and sin, In the valley of battered dreams, Shattered hopes, and relentless screams, The mental torment of what should be, Like a river boat that’s lost at sea, In a place where it doesn’t belong, Treading water, holding on, Fearing loss and gripping to control, The reapers coming too clench to my soul, With flaws so apparent, and a body that’s worn, The mental battle has yet to be scorn, In the reckoning, the shadow reveals, All the hopes and dreams it steals, From our minds with jaded imagery, Left in the in the valley of battered dreams, Not everything is as it seems, Feeling frail and left for dead, There’s really more, that can be said, For the mental defiance within your soul, Is only one route to go, Upon your arrival within a thought, Forget everything, you have been taught. Feel the fire within your chest, ...

Rest. Recharge. Remember.

It seems time has flown by in between my blog posts. Some times life takes all types of twists and turns and before you know it, you don't even know where the days let alone all that time has travelled onto. This isn't necessarily a bad or good thing. When we experience "life" keeping up with blogging, social media etc.. can often take a back seat. This in my world is a good thing, but one thing I have found important about blogging, not so much social media, but it keeps me accountable. Since I've been away, I have made many memories, went on a mini vacay, battled through being sick and also found myself digging my way out of a slump. I never realized this was even a "thing" but apparently post vacation blues, is totally a thing. I came home and I almost felt like my home, wasn't my home. A piece of something was missing. I felt out of place, and a tad disoriented which lead to falling out of routine and putting somethings on the back burner that re...
