It's interesting how based on experience our mindsets are able to shift. Whether the experience we have is good or bad- we are affected, we are impacted, we learn and we adapt new ways. Intertwining the power of manifestation through thought, what occurs in our life times is simply divided into two indefinite pathways. What I find most interesting about this post is not too long ago I use to see the world as more than black and white, this or that. I felt as though there was always more to it than what meets the eye. Although, to an extent that is more or less true, I have begun to see that the way I viewed life, discouraging moments, relationships, self-worth and all of the above is purely a 'this or that' situation. You either do something or you don't. The course of inaction- is in itself an action.
When faced with a decision, we often like to take a step back, weigh out the pro's and the con's, decide if it's beneficial to our lives. This isn't a bad thing to do, however, a lot of these questions lead to over-thinking and before you know it, you've talked yourself out of it, or you're still virtually undecided resulting in lack of decision. This process right here- is what most will call that "grey" area. The part where life can't just be black and white. But when did life become so complex that the majority of today's population are so lost in their own minds they are unable to grasp hold of their dreams and desires.
The power of thought: manifestation- the most powerful tool in our tool belts. The one thing that we have control over that is continuously used for the wrong purpose. "Facts do not cease to exist just because they are ignored"- unknown. If I am sitting here, thinking repetitively 'I won't be sad anymore' that won't make me less sad. Shoving down emotion does not make it go away. If I think 'I am the best qualified for the job, I will for sure get this position', does not guarantee that i will get that job. The thing about manifesting your truest desires, is being grounded, and accepting of when the things we had hoped for don't come true.
Being positive all the time, disregarding negative feelings, unwilling to accept certain realities won't make what you're going through any less real, or any less painful. In my previous post I mentioned the stigma around pain and struggle and the realization that life is unpredictable. Yes, having a positive attitude is important but what's also important is dealing with the hard shit. The my heart is hanging by a thread, but I can pull myself out the trenches kind of stuff. I use to be notorious for over-thinking, continually talking myself out things because I didn't feel smart enough, pretty enough, worthy enough. As a result, I fell victim to my own mindset. Then I thought well, if I just act happy, then all that good shit will start happening and I will be ok. I was on the right track- but going about it in a very wrong way.
Being able to remain positive in tough situations doesn't mean you aren't feeling sorrow or anger. It means you've reach a state of being that you are able to accept what is, and find a solution to move forward. Looking at a scenario and saying what can I do to improve this? I'm not sure how along the way that becoming "positive" and the "power of positivity" became the end all beat all of surviving this life. Positivity is generated from such a deep state of being. It's almost like you're in another realm looking into your life from the outside and seeing all these little things happening around you.
You read all these positive mindset books, how to manifest your wants and desire, how to be this and be that in place of how to be you and to understand your thought process.
