Question: Is life full of lessons to learn or is it learning the lesson of life? Take a second to think about that. There isn't one thing you have gone through, currently going through and will go through that doesn't result in taking you one step closer to your destination. Your destination being- what it is that you desire in life. Do you desire success? Happiness? Financial freedom? A new bike? A career you love? To know what you desire and want is to know that there are things in life that you don't want. You will acquire many things and meet many people but what and who feed your soul? The parts that don't are virtually "things" you would typically not want in your life. The key is learning to become OK with saying this isn't what I want.
To be able to achieve this requires perspective. The ability to view outcomes based on a observer vs participant point of view. Observer being future driven and participant being a present/ current stimulation. When you think about your desires, do you think of them as hopeless dreams or an achievable reality? Well- here's the catch 22... every desire is achievable and every dream obtainable. Everything you could ever want is within your reach, so why aren't you holding it right now?
It's slowing slipping through your finger tips because of 2 reasons: Lack of belief; and lack of perspective. If you feel your dream dwindling away, here is where an observer perspective will put an abrupt halt to that fading desire. This is future driven in the sense that to observe is to visualize. To see the image of you achieving your desired goal. This is not easy to do because in order to visualize yourself achieving your goal, it means you must believe in it as if it has already come true. Take all those " I will's" and turn them into " I have's" essentially turning the future into the present- which will be your participant perspective.
Participating means being engaged in what is going on in your life. In order to turn those I will's into I have's... as an individual it is vital to take actionable steps to bring those desires/wants, that much more in reach. So, what steps are you taking? small or big, there is never any effort wasted.
I encourage all my readers to take a look at your desires and ask yourselves these questions:
"What are my desires?"
"Am I taking the necessary steps in order to achieve them?"
"What perspective am I viewing my life through?"
"Am I visualizing my future?
For every question, there is an answer. For every answer there is an action that needs to either be taken or has already been achieved. For every step forward taken, there is a desire met. All of these leading to one thing- your OWN happiness.
