Good-Bye Old Soul Poem

To miss a soul,
To shatter when you feel low,
To miss you more than you'll ever know,
Time,
Where did it go?
You fled so fast,
Now just a memory of my past.
The dark clouds above me keep me trapped,
In the dull ache of this pain I cannot shake,
I'm just half a heart,
That's hanging weary,
With emotions running so deep,
It's becoming scary,
The waves are clashing,
And the tide takes me away,
Why couldn't you stay?
And save my soul from these tears that fall like rain,
My memory of you becomes so vain,
This broken trust dragged through the dirt,
How is it possible to feel this much hurt?,
Just lies on lies and,
When all the words fail,
I fall to my knees with the cries of hell,
Is it all a dream?
That you can't hear me scream,
Come back,
Because this pains too deep,
To close my eyes and go to sleep,
I weep each night,
For the moment is gone,
And so are you.
An empty shell, with half a heart,
Now I'm going back to the start.
